Cops and CrooksThe National Police Department and the Government of the United States of America have produced a “crime ranking” list (as it’s referred on the streets) with different priority classifications depending on the act. Low-Priority Crimes include stuff like breaking drug and liquor laws, traffic offences, disorderly conduct, buying, receiving and/or possession of stolen goods, burglar, auto theft, weapon offences, prostitution etc. They’re usually left to those who want to make a difference (in the world or in their wallet) if taken at all. Most people think that Low-Priority Crimes stands for the polices right to take you in or raid your house when ever they feel like it. Usually in blackmailing or personal vendetta situations that is. When lowpriority crimes are informed to police forces, it may take even a couple of days before any member of police comes to check out (usually considerably pissed off about the whole situation). Mid-Priority Crimes are the ones that get the wheels moving, even though they may still need a little grease. They include crimes like arson, assault, rape, rioting, robbery, manslaughters, extortion, robbery, embezzlement, grand larceny, etc. In these cases polices come to see what is wrong during the day the information was given. Usually a certain amount of work is made to solve the crime, but there are still a lot of mid-priority crimes that are swept under the carpet. High-Priority Crimes wake up the whole department. A polices are sent to acting as soon as possible and the work to solve the crime is usually heavy. Kidnappings and murders (both 1st and 2nd decree). 'Top-Priority Crimes come before anything else. All available officers are put in work to solve the situation and the city police is at the stage of the crime in a matter of second. This kind of devotion comes only when there’s a case of mass murder, terrorism, espionage, or a political murder. These crimes WILL be solved. |
